Everyone loves pizza, but what the pizza Courtyard by Marriott Agra was dishing out was not your ordinary slice! To create some buzz for their upcoming pizza promotion and to celebrate Nelson Mandela Day, Courtyard made waves by cooking up the longest pizza in India’s history for their community to enjoy.
Made on the property by eight chefs, the record-setting pizza took nearly 18 hours to create and measured in at a whopping 71.8 feet in length—nearly 20% longer than the previous record-holder (60 feet). They topped the pizza with a variety of vegetables including corn, basil, jalapeños, onions, olives, and roasted zucchini.
More than 200 locals came together to grab a record-setting slice of pie, including several children from Rays of Joys, an NGO adopted by the property that benefits children from underprivileged families. Everyone left with a full stomach and will surely be back for more!
