The Engineering and Horticulture team at Le Méridien Gurgaon, Delhi NCR in India take great pride in their craft and sought a new, innovative way to show off their creations at the end of 2017.
The team had planned to add additional greenery to the hotel’s common areas by adding more flowers and elevating the beauty of the property. With that in mind, the team decided to seed the flowers in the hotel itself.
With the festive season fast approaching, they wanted to do something more than just decorate the common areas. So after some brainstorming, the idea of a Flower Plant Christmas Tree came to life.
The engineering team created the structure of the tree with a 6-foot base, standing 12 feet high, with 600 rings, which took them about 20 days. The horticulture team had bought the marigold seeds two months prior and started seeding in the hotel.
Closer to the holiday celebration, they placed the 600 flower pots on the rings and erected the Christmas tree with the marigold flowers in their original flower pots. What a beautiful and innovative end result!
