Associates from the Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai International Airport in Mumbai, India, recently developed a program to train two aspiring bakers from Trishul in the hotel’s bakery department for a month. These two women aimed to open a small bakery of their own.
Jumping into action, associates equipped the bakers with the resources and education that they needed to make their dreams a reality. In turn, the bakers imparted their new knowledge on their peers in Trishul to help enhance their baking skills as well.
Founded in Versova, Mumbai, Trishul is a non-governmental organization that empowers women and children through skill development and education.
This is an example of how associates across Marriott International work together to help Empower Through Opportunity, an integral part of Marriott’s sustainability and social impact platform, Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction.
