At Marriott International, putting people first has been in our DNA since our founders opened a small root beer stand more than 90 years ago. All these years later, we put this same philosophy into practice today – “Take care of associates and they will take care of the customers.”
In this spirit of taking care of associates, the Marriott and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown, Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, recently hosted its first Marriott International Business Council event, the Lip Sync Battle, as an opportunity to engage employees and celebrate their commitment to associates’ happiness.
The Lip Sync Battle started internally and extended beyond the walls of the hotel, connecting Marriott International properties across Abu Dhabi and encouraging them to showcase their musical talents. The battle gave associates the chance to meet, connect with one other, and share their best practices.
The strong relationships built amongst associates during the fun-filled evening truly speak for themselves. This is another example of how Marriott International’s people-first culture has made Marriott International a great place to work for more than 90 years.
