The moment an associate puts on their name badge, they know their job extends beyond the walls of their property. A great example of this is from The Residence Inn Decatur Forsyth in Forsyth, Illinois.
Recently, the property hosted a group of guests who were working at a local hospital, which required them to start their days very early in the morning.
Once made aware of their early schedules, breakfast host Len Owens made arrangements to arrive at work over an hour earlier than his regularly scheduled shifts to ensure the group was offered all of the Residence Inn’s breakfast options.
Following Len’s gesture, the guests were so appreciative for him going above and beyond and taking great care of the group that they surprised him with a heartfelt card and a special gift at the end of their stay.
