In partnership with the Youth Career Initiative (YCI), Budapest Marriott Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Budapest City Center, Millennium Court, Budapest-Marriott Executive Apartments, and The Ritz-Carlton, Budapest in Budapest, Hungary, implemented a 6-month hospitality program to give unemployed youth the opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry.
YCI assists youth seeking a job by opening the door to the world’s leading hotel companies. It also enables the hotel sector to support local communities and build a pipeline of skilled and motivated talent to recruit from.
During the 6-month program, Marriott International associates in 18 different departments across 4 hotels in Budapest, spent 174 hours teaching training courses. Six young men and women successfully completed the YCI program and four of those young men and women were hired at one of Marriott International’s participating hotels in Budapest. Congratulations, graduates; we wish you all the best as you take your next steps and kick-off your hospitality careers!
This is an example of how associates across Marriott International work together to help Empower Through Opportunity, an integral part of Marriott’s sustainability and social impact platform, Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction.
