The Food & Beverage Director and the Training Coordinator at the Armenia Marriott Hotel Yerevan have come together to create HiPos: a training program designed to identify high-potential associates within the F&B department to gain a deeper knowledge of the overall hotel operations. A HiPos is an entry-level F&B associate who has been identified as having the potential, ability and aspiration for successful growth within the company. Their year-long training ended with a task to plan, create and execute an event on their own. They had to plan the concept and menu, order and prepare the food, manage invitations, and serve the event with no direction except for the budget. This was the first year for the program, and everyone agrees its success should be continued.
