The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center put up a good fight to keep their property operational during the storm—and give those in need a place to stay. They moved in 63 people over the first couple days including crisis team members, and displaced families and their pets.
With everyone fighting the good fight to keep things moving forward, people needed some downtime. With the Mayweather-McGregor boxing match airing live on August 26, General Manager Fred Domenick set up a viewing event at the hotel for all who were interested. The restaurant supervisor provided wings, nachos, and beverages to more than 50 people who joined to watch the fight.
Said Fred Domenick, “l was really proud of my team for coming up with such a great idea to unite everyone.”
