In partnership with the Forest and Wildlife Department of Uttar Pradesh, the Courtyard by Marriott Agra in Agra, India, recently planted 500 trees in celebration of World Earth Day.
The Forest and Wildlife Department of Uttar Pradesh, nurtures forests through world-class forest management practices for conservation of biodiversity, accrual of sustained goods and services, and large-scale plantations for green cover extension, to provide a clean and green environment to society at large.
To encourage Agra citizens to support the cause, District Forest Officer, Mr. Mittal, launched the “One Person, One Tree” campaign. Courtyard by Marriott Agra associates kicked off the campaign by planting 500 trees in the premises of Taj Natures walk.
“Five-hundred trees are just the initial number,” Gagandeep, General Manager, Courtyard by Marriott Agra said. “We have planned to plant many more trees in the next few months along with the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department and the citizens of Agra.”
