In February, 15 associates from the Moscow Marriott Hotel Novy Arbat in Moscow, Russia, participated in Charitable Skiing 6250 – a charity ski run hosted by the “Life Line” Foundation – at the “Planernaya” Olympic Educational Sports Centre in the city of Khimki. This is the second year the hotel has participated in the charity ski run.
The “Life Line” Foundation is a charitable fund in Moscow, Russia, that finances the treatment of children with serious illnesses throughout the country. To do so, the foundation hosts special projects – such as Charitable Skiing 6250 – and then uses the funds collected within the project’s framework, including registration fees, to fund the foundation’s mission. To date, the foundation has saved more than 9,600 children all over Russia.
What a great way to attract funds as positively as possible and help awaken the local community’s desire to become participants in charitable projects. And with the hotel’s donation of 15000 rubles, among donations from other participants, the foundation can continue their important mission of helping with the treatment of children and creating a culture of charity across Russia.
This is a great example of how associates across Marriott International work together to help Nurture Our World, an integral part of Marriott’s sustainability and social impact platform, Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction.
