Sheraton’s new #GoBeyond campaign highlights the actions of associates who go above and beyond for their customers and their colleagues. Their fifth feature spotlights Charles Andre Hugues de Valaurie, a Quality Manager from the Sheraton Mexico City Maria Isabel Hotel.
As Quality Manager, Charles doesn’t have much opportunity for face-to-face interactions with guests. He works diligently behind the scenes to make sure that every guest at his hotel has an exceptional experience and that the hotel is well-maintained. Every so often, he does get a chance to meet guests, and when he does, he goes beyond to make sure they feel welcome and cared for.
“I am from France, and am always called when there is a guest visiting from my home country. One of my favorite “Go Beyond” moments was when a couple came to visit Mexico City for an extended trip. After chatting with guests, they mentioned that they were enjoying visiting Mexico, but were feeling a bit homesick after being away for so long. I had an idea to coordinate with one of the on-property chefs to prepare a dish inspired by the south of France to make the couple feel more at home. When I saw them after the meal, they told me how touched they were to receive such attentive guest service.”
