Sheraton’s new #GoBeyond campaign highlights the actions of associates who go above and beyond for their customers and their colleagues. The fourth campaign spotlight comes from the Sheraton Fiji Resort and Charlotte Acraman, a waitress on the property.
Charlotte is a Fijian local who is passionate about showing guests the true beauty and culture of the island, beyond the resort. She is known by guests and her fellow associates for her selfless, generous spirit and her willingness to share her life and culture with everyone who visits the resort. Her mantra is “I always treat people the way I want to be treated” and she demonstrates this with every guest who crosses her path. Thinking about her experiences with guests over the years, these stories came to Charlotte’s mind when she was asked about a time she went above and beyond.
“Early in my career at the Sheraton Fiji Resort, I met a couple visiting from the United States and immediately connected with them. The guests’ stay came to an end and they became another fond memory of the guests I’ve met here. Six months later, they returned to the resort and asked for me by name. I was surprised that they remembered me, and that they came with gifts in tow for my children! This moment resonated with me and now I make it a point to personally get to know as many guests as possible so I can enhance their stay on the island. Another one of my favorite moments was with some guests who wanted to explore more of Fiji and immerse themselves in local culture. After work, I escorted them around to the other side of the island and introduced them to a local family. I was so happy to make the introduction and to see the joy they were having on their vacation!”
