Sheraton’s new #GoBeyond campaign highlights the actions of associates who go above and beyond for their customers and their colleagues. The third campaign spotlight from the Sheraton Grand Los Angeles shines on Hansen Lee, the property’s Executive Chef.
Hansen moved to the U.S. from Seoul, Korea when he was nine years old. He loves that Los Angeles is a cultural melting pot when it comes to food, and he tries to include a lot of different interpretations of popular food into his menu. This is what Hansen has to say about a time he was able to go beyond for a guest:
“I had a chance to speak with a couple who stayed at the Sheraton Grand Los Angeles for their anniversary. They told me they used to go to their favorite seafood restaurant in Santa Monica whenever they visited L.A., but recently found out the restaurant had closed down. I asked them what their favorite meal was from the restaurant, and they told me it was seafood paella, which was also my favorite dish. I asked them to come to our restaurant for dinner because we would love to go beyond for them with a special ‘seafood paella’ anniversary dinner. They were very happy with their favorite food from us, and said that ‘it was the most memorable service they ever had.’”
