A healthy diet serves everyone well, especially children. At The Westin Resort & Spa, Cancún, they wanted to make sure everyone knew about their exciting new Eat Well Menu for Kids. To kick off the new menu, the property invited children from both Fundación Jorge Alann A.C. (children with autism) and Fundación Aitana AC (children with cancer) to spend a day with their chef, Neptali Haringthon.
The Westin has been a supporter of both foundations for about five years and this was another fun way to bring some brightness into the lives of the children. Chef Haringthon shared an entire afternoon with the little SuperChefs, teaching them how to prepare a healthy (and delicious) snack of crepes with fresh fruits at the Westin Kids Club and bringing many laughs and smiles to their faces.
It was a special day for the children as they not only got to take some time away from the hospital, but had the opportunity to experience many new foods and activities. Though the children were shy at first, Chef Haringthon brought the best in them and allowed them to enjoy life as a normal child. The experience from that day is one that the children, the chef and our associates will keep with them for years to come.
