In partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the Amman Marriott, Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa, Petra Marriott, Sheraton Amman Al Nabil, and St. Regis Amman, and Al Manara Luxury Collection Aqaba Hotels, recently participated in tree-planting activities to celebrate Earth Hour.
The World Wide Fund for Nature aims to stop the degradation of our planet’s natural environment, and build a future in which people live in harmony with nature.
A total of 200 associates planted trees in Amman and Dead Sea followed by the Aqaba team participating in clean-up in
Amman. In the evening, each unit’s non-essential lights and equipment were turned off or dimmed for one hour; Earth Hour. By doing so, associates joined millions of people around the world who also participated in Earth Hour to show their commitment to the planet and their collective fight against climate change.
This is an example of how associates across Marriott International work together to help Nurture Our World and Sustain Responsible Operations, integral parts of Marriott’s sustainability and social impact platform, Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction.
